To all those that came to our rescheduled event on the 14th, Thank you!
We are but a small club and try our best to provide a fun and well supported race. You showed that you love our race by the numbers that came Sunday, especially those in there festive attire.
The last time we cancelled a race was over 20 years ago, so the Amber warnings in December were a huge surprise to us.
We did our best supported by stuweb to get the message out there. and by the numbers that came that certainly happened.
We learned many lessons from this years event, which we will put into making the next pudding run even better and look forward to you all joinging us again December 2018.
Many thanks to all the members and friends of Sneyd Striders who supported this event headed by seven committee members who organised the Pudding Run.
We'd also like to thank Sutton Runner who sponsored the race and Stuweb for the timing system and support after the postponement.
Again thank you and see you all very soon.
SNEYD STRIDERS PUDDING RUN
SUNDAY 10TH DECEMBER 2017
NOW JANUARY 14TH 2018
Sneyd Striders would like to thank everyone for your patience after the postponement of our Pudding Run, the first in over 25 years.
Being a small club we have always tried our best to provide a great event.
This years weather conditions didn't allow us to do that.
The safety of all of the entrants is and has always been our main priority.
We received a setback this week, the rearranged date initially published, was cancelled by the venue, with only one alternative given. This is why we delayed the statement until today.
We have worked hard with Stuweb to try to make arrangements that will offer a solution to everyone's needs.
Moving forward the new date for the Sneyd Striders Pudding Run will be Jan 14th 2018 10am start. (This date is the only one the venue can offer us)
Those who had entered, their registration will roll to this new date.
If you cannot attend:
We can offer a transfer of your place to another. We will need their name, D.O.B, email address, contact number and an emergency contact. this is done via the email address below. with "Transfer" as the subject title.
Stuweb have kindly offered to allow those that can't attend,to run one of their races* at Stoneleigh Park Coventry either a 5k,10k or 20k giving those a choice of two dates.
Regrettably we cannot offer deferment, as we cannot guarantee the race venue for next year at this time (Dec 18)
For those that missed the online entry we have set up a waiting list. please email email@example.com with "waiting list" as the subject.
For all other queries please also use the firstname.lastname@example.org email address.
The last date to apply for transfers is 8th January 2018.
We will try to to respond as quickly as possible.
Again may we thank you for your support during this time, we will strive to achieve a great experience for you on the 14th January.
Welcome to Sneyd Striders Running Club. The club was formed in 1984 by John & Rita Pedley from New Invention, and has been going ever since.
Sneyd Striders has been based at its current location since its inception, offering a running club for the local community & beyond.
The clubs ethos remains as it always has, to offer something to all standards of runner, and to promote togetherness by offering a number of social events and organised trips to races.
We cater for all abilities, although you must be 18 or over and able to run 5km to join the main group. There are always club members available to run with, so there is no need to run alone.
We also offer a Beginners course during the year. If you have any queries then please get in touch via our email or Facebook page.
